September is National Recovery Month: Why “RE”covery?

Categories: Addiction, Inspiration, Mental Health, News, Recovery, Substance Use

September is National Recovery Month. There are lots of events going on, in Maine and beyond, to celebrate those in recovery from alcohol and/or drug addiction as well as mental disorders.

The month reminds us that prevention works, treatment is effective and people do recover.

To kick the month off, here’s a video from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) on Why REcovery?

How are you celebrating recovery this month? Please share in the comments!

Thank You

This was definitely a life changing experience. The staff was wonderful and I am leaving here sober, happy and healthy. I thank everyone for their love and care.”
