Audio and Video on the Subject of Drug and Alcohol Addiction

There have been some great pieces in the media recently regarding drug and alcohol addiction that are worth taking a look or listen.

On July 10, 2007, Nora Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), was interviewed on the NPR show Fresh Air. Volkow argues that science shows everyone has the potential to be addicted to something.

Maine Public Broadcasting Network (MPBN) radio is airing a two-part documentary produced for the BBC World Service called The Changing World: Alcohol. Part I was aired on Thursday, July 12th at 1:00pm. Part II airs at 1:00pm today, Friday, July 13th. The documentary looks at the science, the sociology, and the business of alcohol.
