Dr.Jonathan Fellers

Jonathan C. Fellers, MD


As a board-certified Addiction Psychiatrist , Dr. Fellers serves as the medical director who works with our clients, their families, and the health care system to promote high quality evidence-based screening, assessment, and treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Addiction involves both biology and psychology, and Dr. Fellers takes a particular interest in helping disentangle this complexity. Dr. Fellers completed his fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine, Addiction Psychiatry in 2013 and two residencies at University of California, San Francisco and University of Virginia Health System. A graduate of Cornell Medical College in 2002, Dr. Fellers is affiliated with both Maine Behavioral Healthcare, Spring Harbor Hospital and Maine Medical Center.

Claudia Heise Physician

Claudia Heise, MD


Dr. Heise is a board-certified family medicine specialist who serves as the physician for our Co-occurring Eating disorder and Addiction Residential Program. In this capacity, Dr. Heise supports our clients by meeting with them on a weekly basis to assess their medical needs, order labs as needed, and provide medical intervention recommendations that support the client’s treatment plan. Dr. Heise works closely with the clinical treatment team in the program and is an integral member of the residential program team. Dr. Heise is board certified in Family Medicine and received her medical degree in 2013 from the University of Illinois.

Erin Burke RN

Erin Burke, LPN

NURSE, Children and Mothers Program

Erin joined the team at the Children and Mothers Program in 2018 as the nurse to support the clients and their children during their residential stay. Erin has worked for several years with clients in treatment for substance use disorders and is a firm believer in the impact recovery support has on outcomes. In her working career, Erin has held positions in pediatricians’ offices working closely with new mothers to learn and support the infant early health development.
